Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars DLC Release Date Announced
Ubisoft announced today the Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars DLC will be hitting PS4, Xbox One, and PC on July 17.
The second major piece of DLC for the game, Far Cry 5: Lost on Mars can be bought alone for $9.99 or as part of its season pass.
Lost on Mars takes the player from Hope County to Mars as protagonist Nick Rye, who is tasked with stopping an alien invasion of Earth. The DLC includes new weapons, including the Blaster of Disaster, Hellfire and Morphinator, and the new Space Jets traversal tool.
Outside of the DLC, new Mars-themed assets are available in Far Cry
Arcade now for all players. The new sci-fi creation assets can be
integrated into previously created maps, or can be used to make a new
map from the ground-up. Players who purchase Lost on Mars will also gain
access to new weapons – Obliteratorrrr, Taser Phazer Annihilazer, Nerve
Reaper, Grape Popper and Hellfire – to use within the main game.
The first major piece of DLC for the game, Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness, was released in June as part of the game's season pass. In our Hours of Darkness review, we called it "a clever and fun but brief twist on the Far Cry formula." Far Cry 5's third and final piece of major DLC, Dead Living Zombies, will be released in August.
Far Cry 5 received a photo mode in an update last week, which extends to single-player DLC and Far Cry Arcade maps while playing in solo mode, and allows the player to adjust time of day, field of view, filters and alter character's facial expressions.
